Is iVoyeur Bringing Sexting to a Whole New Level?

“Talk Dirty to Me…” – Poison

I like to think I’m an adventurous adult at times.  I enjoy exotic cuisine and traveling to unknown lands, sure.  But I have to admit that as versed and emerged in emerging media as I am, nothing prepared me for what came through my InBox the other day.

I began following a pop culture phenomenon that has since become dear to my heart.  Urban Daddy is an online domain and newsletter that brings together all the finest things in life as written in the style for Vanity Fair, Esquire, Vogue and GQ.  I receive an email about once every other day with funny Subject Lines such as the following:

– ‘Kimonos, Michael Jackson and the Super Bowl (of Dallas Roller Derby)’
– ‘$2 Margaritas, Selvage Denim and Nitrogen Bombs’
– ‘Lions, Caviar and Monica Bellucci’

For this reason alone, I have an archive folder full of every single email I’ve ever received from UD.  I always smile when the daily shout out gets delivered but on November 23rd, I received an extra exciting email that required further investigation and blogging.  Have you heard of a site called  Well get ready for this…

Communication and courting rituals have always gone hand in hand when you found that special someone; but today in the 21st century when emerging media brings a whole new set of dating nuances to the age old game of love, a person can’t help but to wonder… is sexting in a consenting adult relationship okay?  Can you get a little naughty while you video chat?  Etc.

The fun loving folks (or should I say bon vivants) at – a a New York City-based lifestyle brand and high-end web destination catering to sexually adventurous adults – say why not and then some.  Facebook Groups, MySpace clubs move over, because this social networking site is bringing it on to the New Media world.  No pun intended.

I have to give credit where credit is due because their ‘About Us’ section from their website is quite impressive:

Our site is a social networking tool for discerning swinger couples and curious sensualists to discreetly communicate with like-minded people in the Lifestyle. Planning a steamy romp couldn’t be easier—or more hush-hush—with iVoyeur where users can secretly explore, keep tabs on their favorite members or initiate liaisons with sexy new people. With discretion and privacy being a top priority, iVoyeur provides a safe and concealed environment where users can engage freely and let their fantasies run wild.

In conjunction with the social networking aspect of the site, iVoyeur also offers thoughtful yet provocative articles about sex, travel, wine, and culture written by a handful of dynamic journalists and popular erotic entertainers. And it doesn’t stop there—iVoyeur hosts and sponsors delightfully decadent lifestyle events nationwide, in addition to exciting contests and promotions. With iVoyeur, your lifestyle just got hotter.

I had to read this section at least 3 times because in all honesty, does it not sound like a slightly wild, 2 year relationship rolled into one, free loving, continuous online roll in the hay?  My friends, I am afraid to say that the days of cruising over to the Malt Shop and grabbing a Cherry Coke with your main squeeze are OVER.  Bygone and no more are the Friday Football Game Dates and Sock Hops.  For those 18 and older, an amusing if not amorous reality called iVoyeur is bringing sexting to a whole new level.
